Bird Watching

Many people are discovering Panama as a Bird Watching heaven and many come to Altos Del Maria to watch the birds.  There are some great lookouts built specifically for birders and numerous walks along the trails offer great opportunities to recognise many different species.
Each area of Altos has its very own bird community – with different species in each.

In the grounds of the B&B we have running water for 12 months of the year, tall canopy trees, fruit trees, flowers, scrub and open grass which all attract different birds.  Check out the gallery for just a few  of the birds we have personally seen in 2009.

Tennis

In the area of Valencia, Altos Del Maria, there is a new park called the Rogelio Muñoz park.  This park is in the process of being created and the first section is now finished.  This section has a tennis court for the use of residents and guests alike. We also have a resident tennis coach here in Altos, Bob Rich.  We are pleased to be able to work with Bob to offer group vacations and individual coaching. Bob is in the process of setting up a new website ‘Tennis Vacations At Altos’, but in the mean time can be contacted at panamatennis@gmail.com or by Skype Phone (518) 632 4144.

Golf

Casa Del Encanto is lucky enough to be able to offer its guests the services of our very own PGA Professional Golf Coach, John Christopher. John will be pleased to provide coaching to any of our guests with an interest in golf.  Golf courses are located on the Pacific coast – just 45 minutes from Casa Del Encanto B & B Altos Del Maria.

Hiking

There are many trails in Altos Del Maria – perfect for the avid hiker!  River trails and mountain trails criss-cross the development and we will be pleased to supply you with a local guide to show you the way.

Swimming

The Maria River runs through the middle of Altos Del Maria and the developer, Melo, has created a natural swimming pool for the benefit of residents and guests.  It is a delight to swim in fresh mountain water – all year round.  We will be pleased to escort you to our ‘swim hole’.

Altos Del Maria has its very own Beauty Salon in the area of Toscana – appointments can be set up ahead of time or when you get here, if you would like to be pampered just let us know.

Judy Johnson is a professional massage therapist offering exceptional service in her home treatments rooms, here in Altos Del Maria – just let us know and we can book you in!

Acupuncture

Joyce Lockwood has recently moved to Panama and is setting up her Acupuncture practice close to the Bed and Breakfast Panama. From May 2009 she will be offering her services in her new treatment rooms.
